AHA Heartsaver CPR AED: This course teaches participants how to recognize and respond to breathing and cardiac emergencies for an adult victim. Includes scene safety/assessment, EMS activation, CPR and the use of an Automated External Defibrillator (AED).  Also includes caring for a victim who is choking, both conscious and unconscious. Optional written testing performed upon request. Participants receive a 2 year certification upon successful completion of course.

AHA Heartsaver First Aid/CPR/AED: In addition to learning to provide CPR paired with use of an AED, participants will learn how to treat cuts, scrapes, and burns; controlling bleeding, including use of a tourniquet; treating injuries to the bones, muscles & soft tissue and preventing and caring for sudden illnesses (includes cardiac emergencies, stroke, seizures, fainting & diabetic emergencies;  environmental emergencies such as poisoning and heat and cold related emergencies. Also includes use of an Epi-Pen and Asthmatic Inhaler. Participants receive a 2 year AHA certification upon successful completion of course.

Skills are taught in a dynamic group environment using the AHA’s research-proven practice-while-watching technique, which provides students with the most hands-on CPR practice time possible. Family & Friends CPR is for people who want to learn CPR but do not need a CPR course completion card to meet a job requirement. This course is ideal for community groups, new parents, grandparents, babysitters, and others interested in learning how to save a life.
