The goal of an effective Automatic External Defibrillator (AED) program is to increase the rate of survival for victims of Sudden Cardiac Arrest (SCA).  AEDs can and do save lives every day, but they must be properly maintained and inspected on a regular basis.  AEDs can hang on a wall or reside in a cabinet for months or years, yet when needed we expect them to operate without fail. Ensure your AEDs are ready for a rescue with timely inspections.

Who is responsible for inspecting your AEDs? Are they ready for a rescue?

We now offer AEDProtracker, professional AED Program Management software to keep track of all AED details.

Time is critical when it comes to Sudden Cardiac Arrest.  The earlier defibrillation occurs, the greater the chance of survival.  Automatic External Defibrillators (AEDs) must be properly maintained so they can be ready for a rescue.  Manufacturers make maintenance recommendations based on model type and varying features. Electrodes and batteries have limited life-cycles.  When an organization has multiple manufacturers, with accessories with differing expiration dates purchased through a variety of entities, an AED program with good intentions can eventually become inefficient and possibly negligent, leading to liability issues. We are here to help!
