Product Description
Manufactured by Cardiac Science, the Adult Powerheart G3 defibrillation pads (electrodes) are pre-connected to the AED, which helps to expedite the rescue process and ensure electrodes are Rescue Ready. The self-adhesive pads have a 2-year shelf life and may be placed in either position on the chest to reduce confusion and save time during a rescue. These pads are compatible with all Powerheart G3 series AEDs (models 9300 and 9390). Pediatric Electrodes (Item 9730-002) are recommended for pediatric patients (< 8 years of age and <55 pounds.) If Adult Pads are used on a pediatric patient, they should be positioned anterior posterior in the center of chest/back.
The manufacturer guidelines strongly recommend that an extra set of pads be stored with the AED. Following the manufacturer’s guidelines safeguards AED owners with indemnification under the Good Samaritan Law in their respective state.

The pads are non-polarized, meaning they may be placed in either position on the chest to reduce confusion and save time during a rescue. When used on a pediatric patient with a small torso, such as an infant, the pad should be placed in the anterior posterior (front and back) position as indicated on the packaging. These pads are compatible with all Cardiac Science Powerheart G5 AEDs. Pediatric pads should NOT be stored pre-connected to the AED; they should be stored in the back pouch.
